Dell's Latitude 5000 series are represented by mid-range business laptops. The new offspring is called Latitude 5320, it is the successor of the Latitude 5310 and it almost hasn't changed externally compared to the predecessor. Dell primarily replaces the Comet Lake processors with Tiger Lake models. However, there are also significant changes in connectivity, including the appearance of Thunderbolt 4. However, some downgrades will not please every buyer. Keywords: clickpad and working memory. The field of competitors between 800 and just over 1000 Euros is large. Lenovo's ThinkPads from the L-series are the main competitors for the Latitude with business equipment. The ThinkBooks do not offer quite as much connectivity but could be an alternative for budget customers due to the lower prices. Can the Latitude 5320 hold its own in this tough competition? Our test provides the answer. The technology of the Latitude 5320 has been packed into a chic metal casing that comes without frills. The silver-gray chassis and its design language are identical to the predecessor. However, the ports have been changed and the separate power button on the base unit has been omitted. The black display bezel is quite wide at the top where the webcam is located, the result of the widescreen display. The circumferential hard rubber lip around the display frame, which lies cleanly on the base, is well made. This prevents sand or dirt from getting into the gap during transport. Dell also relies on matte surfaces throughout. There is no maintenance hatch, the battery is permanently installed but can be replaced. The innards can be accessed after removing the bottom cover - more on that later. The Latitude is well manufactured. The gaps are correct, there are no material protrusions or sharp edges. There is room for improvement in terms of stability. The base unit is stiff, but it can be bent to a certain extent, which is detrimental to the premium claim.

The laptop is built on the Intel vPro platform powered by 11th Gen Intel CPU to deliver business-class performance without any glitch. The latest laptop has a smaller footprint with a 13-inch screen with up to 4K displays resolution. The business machine is available with ComfortView Plus, low blue light solution. Let's explore more about this laptop – The business machine has a solid body but is light in weight and compact in size. The lid is a little hard, it doesn't open single-handedly, which is a bit unfortunate. The display is awesome with very thin bezels on the sides, on top, it holds the HD (or optionally FHD) camera with a privacy shutter. By the way, the laptop also offers an optional IR face recognition sensor. The keyboard has decent key travel and clicky feedback, making your typing experience great. The review unit, I received, comes with a power button that also works as a fingerprint reader. The touchpad is decent in size with good touch response but doesn’t have dedicated buttons. The surface feels quite smooth to work on and the tracking experience is good as well. The bottom panel holds the speaker and the ventilation grill, with the hot air escaping the chassis from some vents on the back.
